6 FITS STANDS WITH THE BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT
Recent events involving a white police officer's asphyxiation with his knee on the neck of George Floyd, a handcuffed black man pinned face down on a street in Minneapolis, has served to once again remind America of the unjust conditions that black Americans continue to experience in this nation. From our onset 6FITS' primary goals entailed bringing national attention to the systemic racism that has resulted in decades of disparities and injustices within the African American communities. The perpetuation of such racism has produced generations of at risk African American populations. Whether its COVID 19, police brutality, unfair hiring practices or the existence of "food deserts" in our communities, the persistent presence of racial inequalities continue to be the major contributor to what continues to disrupt and even destroy the lives of African American's in the nation.

NEIGHBORS CARING FOR NEIGHBORS” (6FITS)
"6FITS" is a grass root movement that serves to address the issues of systematic racism in America. The generational persistent presence of racism in America is the major contributor to the catastrophic number of African Americans succumbing to the COVID 19 virus and to desperate social-economic conditions that African Americans experience every day in this country.
How Does 6FITS ADDRESS THIS MATTER?

“6FITS” - Combines the powerful community influence of the religious and faith-based community with that of the local government. Coming together, this group can systemically address those issues of inequality within the African American community that are currently causing the population to be exposed to the COVID19 virus at high rates and those racially motivated dynamics issues that continue to contribute to the social-economic disparities within the African American communities.
IT WILL TAKE ALL OF US TO SAVE LIVES!
Recent issues surrounding the impact of COVID 19 and the George Floyd killing has managed to garner the attention of a vast number of people all across this nation and the world! In a sense, these devastating issues have built its own platform within our communities. 6FITS advocates that faith-based leadership and local government officials make good use of this platform by exhibiting community leadership, spiritual inspiration, emotional encouragement and practical guidance and assistance within our communities during this difficult time that will result in real and lasting change in the lives of those African Americans currently suffering.
IT'S TIME TO STAND IN THE STREETS!
6FITS – Is calling on ALL OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS across this nation to stand with us for our monthly initiative of "6 FEET IN THE STREET” by joining us on the last Saturday of each month. Your local faith-based leaders in conjunction with your local government are encouraged to shut down one of your communities main streets and allow people to stand six feet apart in the middle of the street and pray for our nation, our city and our people. After the prayer the faith-based leaders along with the city officials (with the press present) may address matters among African American that are currently exposing them to high rates of infection and begin to encourage proactive ways the African American community can address those issues that contributed to their vulnerability to Covid 19 as well as those issues that contributed to the presence of many of the “underlying” conditions that made African Americans so susceptible to the disease. We encourage that we create a dialogue with local law enforcement and local government officials to begin creating police policy will guarantee fair and equal treatment of African Americans and other at risk populations.

Convey love, concern and reassurance within our communities

Develop community based alliances that consolidates and harnesses the powerful influence of local churches and faith-based organizations with local governments to address the disparities that contributes to making the African American population and other disenfranchised people vulnerable to the COVID19 pandemic and address the historic issues of systematic racism that continues to rob African Americans of many of their constitutional liberties.

Establish a national platform through local advocacy to communicate our concerns of racial inequalities plaguing the African-American communities to our local, state and national government officials and Demand Real Lasting CHANGE!

6FITS is currently working with local faith-based leaders and local governmental officials across the nation to construct a lifesaving proposal to present to our local, state and federal legislators demanding that certain disparities and unjust treatment of African-American will no longer be accepted as our "norm!"
